Wheels for sale! OEM Sport and ASA IS6
Hi guys I have two sets of wheels for sale, the one set is a OEM SPort wheels 17x7.5 ET 39mm 5x110 bolt pattern and a 65.1mm ID. I got them a while ago, they had some surface damage, so I was in the process of repainting them but got nowhere... mostly time limited.
I think they will be wroth 50$/shot or 200$ for the set so make your selection.
The other set is from a friend who had these on his Catera, paid 300$ not including transportation costs, it was about a tank of gas... I had initially planned to use them for a winter wheel but lucked out on the tires that I had planned for it, also I am going to Germany in the winter so the Cat is going to stay in a garage so they got to go too...
Here are the pictures...
OEM Sport wheels.
OEM (200$) on the left ASA (300$) on the right.
The ASA wheels are also 17x7.5 ET42, they will come with an alum centering ring, their ID is 73, and i got a set of rings from 73 to 65.1mm so they will center just right... also the lugs are included too all 20 of them.
Also I wighted the wheels and they turned to be 19.5lbs/pc the OEM ones are over 26lbs, the scale maxed out at that... so I figured 26-30lbs for the 5 spoke OEM rims...
As for shipping I prefer pickup but if i had to ship then we can arrange something, should be no more then 100$ to anywhere.

So I'm assuming OEM tire size is a 225/50/17? Looked it up, found that OEM tire size is 235/45/17. Which doesn't make much sense as the previous is a closer fit. 225/50/17 is a 0.4% difference, 235/45/17 is a 1.6% difference.

Re: Wheels for sale! OEM Sport and ASA IS6
Well the reason is I think a smaller tire increases an overall gear ratio, and thus it can make the car feel a bit faster and more nimble, also the 235 looks meatier then the 225 so the engineers made it that way...
Also when people think performance or sport they expect bigger better things so a 225 tire would not have been enough for those willing to pay the premium for the sport model...
I am currently running 245/45/17 on those 5 spoke wheels and the car looks taller and even wider with those but it makes it feel like a much heavier sedan...
The same 245/40/18 tire makes the car look slammed... due to the low profile but somehow the tire also looks skinny both on the car and when you compare to the 17s...

So do you still have the center caps for the Sport Rims?

I think I do... They are in a box somewhere... but I plan on keeping them for whoever buys the rims...
