allright here is our very own kill list if you dont know what a kill list is, its basicly a list of cars that you ahve beatin in your car but this list is a little different instead of just what your car has done lets make it what youve seen cateras do.

ok ill start out.

1989 turbo thunderbird
didnt even relise that i was going to be running but i was on the cruseing strip and saw it take off so i thought i would give it a try.

1995 mustang 3.8-beat it by 3 1/2 links its a friends car we run all the time

1996 mustang 4.6 beat it by about a link another friends car felt good to take out a v8 stang

1998 civic easy didnt even pay attention

you guys toss up what youve done.

Post by Admin 5/12/2008, 22:10

A few weeks ago I got chased by a new CTS and I ended up smoking it on an uphill down by Kalamazoo MI, on that long stretch of road on 94, its a good 5mi uphill and I was on his A** for a while until he decided to sneak between traffic thinking I wouldnt dare to follow... the only thing he didnt see was me dropping in 3rd gear and getting the rpms up around 5K... next thing he saw was my back end in the distance... he seemed like he was trying to keep up too but he must have chickened out after 1XX... all i saw is a 3.6L badge on the rear...

Also messed around with a Saab 9-3 Aero.. don't know what engine it had but it was fun to screw with him... I love just keeping up with them untill you feel them back off and then you change lanes and you let it loose... most of the time the triple digits are a short breath away...

I love my CAT!

Took a 69 or 70 Camaro. I think it was pretty wore out though. Laughing

Lots of Cadi owners up here, smoked a 97 deville, 03 Escalade, a Seville dunno what year, a stock Integra, honda prelude with mod air induction....Couple other ppl who thought they were slick. We have a nice little three lane 1/2 mile straight stretch thats good for draggin. Look up Burnside Dr, Dartmouth, NS in google maps, you guys would like to race this strip!

I love the holy sh*t expression you get when you're just messing around in regular mod, than outta nowhere hit your sport button and drop to third....Ya'll know the look I'm talking about.Priceless!

Last Sunday I was cruzin around with the GF... pulled up to an intersection and a new G37X puled up to me... light went green and I made it seem like I wasn't going to go... but then I stabbed it... and I was even with the guy all the way up to 30-35mph... then I let go... as you know speeding in a park is illegal...

But regardless.. I can hear his motor revving up all the way up ... that Ifiniti has got some nice exhaust note... but I gave him a run for his money... LOL...

Yeah that G37 is hawt...I don't know how much torque they have in the lower gears. We gots a lot of low-end power. So a little off topic but do you guys think an issue with my rear suspension can effect my drivetrain at all?

Depends, I guess it could, what kind of issues do you have?

If your alignment is out of wack then this can cause wear on the tires but it will also cause more stress on all other components so yes it could affect your powertrain in some way.

My dad had a car with bad brake hoses and once you apply the brakes the fluid did not go back through the line causing the calipers to apply pressure on the pads... well all that caused was a ton of heat and terrible gas millage...

Well like I said, my air ride went a couple weeks ago, basically the seal on it is leaking air. When I had the car up to put in the NPS switch, I noticed that the passenger side gear (by the differential) was buffed up, silver looking, while the drivers side looks normal, road dust covered. Just though it was odd, could be a rock or something stuck up there, would like to know before something really goes.

well something like that will probably not affect your powertrain... but its a good idea to have it looked by someone... or at least make sure that nothing is going to fail on you when you are hauling A** down the road...

Chalk up another one, lol. Solstice this time, he bailed at 18XKM or 11Xmiles...I was just passing with no intent on doin anything and he revved up, I was just getting into 3rd, pressed the sport button, caught up to him rather quickly(seemed surprised), passed him doin 110KM or 70miles. Stayed nose to nose for a little bit, than I punched it and he didn't want to play any more, I know if he would have pressed it I would have had no chance, he prolly didn't know that though...lol

Dont forget our cars are geared in a way to be quick in the higher rev band... the motor is also designed to give you peak torque after 3000 RPM and it stays that way all the way to Redline... so I have take many cars by surprise... especially from 80-110 which is around 4000-6000rpms in 3rd gear so in fact thats your best performance spot... anything below or after that is somewhat weak...

The other day I raced a Fox Body mustang... smoked him out of the line then backed off... he was mad... and wanted to race again but I refused...

We were driving down the road and he noticed my car, and was checking it out... from the front from the back... etc... then we got cought at a light... its a long light but the whole time him and his girl were peeking over looking at my wheels... they probalby thought I had a V8 Swapped because of the V emblems on the fenders.. but anyways...

I noticed the light for the opposign traffic turning yellow so I broguth up the revs to 1700 or so with my foot planted on the brakes... and I was watching the light like a hawk...
Then I heard him rev his engine... light went green and I took off within a fraction of a second... then as I was about to hit 6K... I looked in the left rear view mirror and I can see the entire front of the mustang... he must have been right up on my rear bumper... then at 40mph I let off as i know cops sit further down the road... Now I guess the reaction time had a lot to do with it but still that pony had fat tires in the rear and skinny ones in the front, looked like a fast car... I remember the exhaust was so loud I can feel it in my car...

At the next light the guy kept pilled up to my ride looking at it with some kind of respect... nodded, gave me the thumbs up and then went along his way...

THE END...

On a recent trip to Chicago I lined up with another catera on the highway, he honked and we got going from 75mph... I was in 3rd on the shifter... WOT and I immediately started pulling on him... by 100mph, I was a full car ahead of him.

I have somewhat a modified exhaust and a KN filter... other then that mostly stock.

It was interesting to see the difference though... he had 2000... we did that 2 times, and I pulled on him both times...

I bet the fella wanted to pull over and talk to me to see what I had done but I guess he figured it out by the modified exhaust tips..
