I have decided to upgrade my side moldings to the european versions in order to include the side turn signals.

I will post pictures of the installation as well as information on how to wire them up.

For the purpose you will need:

Basic Tools, wrenches, screw drivers etc.
2 Fender Moldings from a EUROPEAN OMEGA, (Look on ebay.co.uk or ebay.de)
2 Aftermarket or OEM turn signals.
16g Wire.
Some connectors
Electrical tape,

Istallation will take you roughly 1hour.

Removal of the front wheels is necessary as you will be removing the inner wheel well cover.
Then simply remove the nut holding the OEM molding, and pop it out.
Clean around it with some wax while you are at it.
Then reinstall the new moldings.
TIghten the plastic nut and you should be good to go.

Then run about 2ft of wire from the OEM turn signals forward to the back of the headlight where the turn signal wires are.
Connect the 2 wires to the ones for the side marker, make sure you grab the ones for the turn signal. (color codes will be described in the following post)
Then once you test everything, simply pop the new signals in place.
Reinstall the fender well and tire and enjoy.

The turn signal will only be active when you use your turn signal, not when you use the parking lamps.

These are pictures of the parts you will need.

Thanks.

I was able to install the markers this weekend, and I am happy to report that it was one of the easiest upgrades that I have ever done....

The fender has opening for the side marker underneath the original moldings, and it also allows for easy installation of the new moldings via clips and a small plastic screw.

The wiring consisted of extending the original wires about 3ft, and running them forward to the turn signal on the headlight, then simply tapping into those two wires.

NOTE: I used the two outside wires on the plug for the power, the middle wire is the parking light.

Here are a few pictures of the install..

Hope you like them, and please do comment.

Thanks Lance, I must say it was an easy and cheap upgrade, and at the end of the day it made the car a little more safe... now the drivers to the side of me can see my turn signal and this will hopefully help me be more safe on the road...

Keep checking the ebay.co.uk and you will find a pair, also you can always post something on the OOF for those parts... and if you are lucky you may find a pair thats the same color as your car... so no painting required...

As for the install, it took about 1hr per side from start to end...
