Scosche GM03B
Okay, so this basic wiring harness for an aftermarket head unit stinks.....From what I could tell the only wire that seemed in the right position was the ground. Power seemed to work because the unit would take and eject the disc, but illumination, and sound were non-exsistant. I would stay away from this harness.

Re: Scosche GM03B
Okay so from further investigation of the non bose 32-Pin connector, the ground, constant 12V, and speaker wires were correct. I had to re-pin Illumination, and ignition. Haven't tried the new pin locations yet. Will be trying in the next week or two.

Re: Scosche GM03B
To integrate the steering wheel you need a Head unit that has the steering wheel control wires in its harness. Or you need an adaptor with a compatible HU which hooks up to your steering wheel control wires and uses the HU's remote to change tracks, volume, or station. The kenwood HU I'm putting in is compatible with the adaptor, but I don't know if I'll be installing it.

Re: Scosche GM03B
The adaptor does not either. Take a look at this. http://www.crutchfield.ca/PAC_SWI_JACK_JVC_Alp_Clari_Ken_Steering_Wheel_Radi_p/127swijack.htm

Re: Scosche GM03B
Also I just found out Metra Makes an adaptor as well, but your deck will need to have the input jack in the back. If your stereo does not support it in the back, you will need the IR adaptor that uses your remote to perform its functions. On another related issue, repinning the harness did nothing, still getting constant power, but no illumination or sound. The wires are in the right place, I'm thinking that it may be a grounding issue now....Not sure yet, have yet had time to troubleshoot.

Re: Scosche GM03B
Okay so about a week ago I bought a new harness from BestKits which of course was pinned wrong. The only downsides are that the constant is not constant and the accessories line only works when the lights are on. Sound is good though, and I bought a Metra dash kit which is great, only problem is stuffing all the wires back behind the deck.
