New ECU w/ CHIP

I was looking on ebay and I came across a 2001 Catera ECU with the latest ECU Software... as of May2008... it was 10$... figured why the heck not... then 45sec to the end I noticed that I was outbid... so I put a 25$ bid and what do you know the guy before must have bid up to 23.50 because I outbid him iwth 2sec to go and got it shipped to my door for under 40$...

Next up is a European OMEGA MV6 Chip with different spark and fuel maps and its good for up to 232hp and 224.93lb-ft.

Now I guess I will keep both ECUs and swap between the two for whenever I want performance.

I remember a guy on the OOF.org did a swap and reported considerable gains and also found that it used more fuel but who cares gas is not quite 3$ yet...

I have a friend in the UK who is looking around for these chips... the guy on eBay selling them said to try it on my own risk which sounds shady...


If he would have said something about a guarantee, I would have jumped on the offer... since the chip is only around 75$...

This other guy running on Superchips, dynoed and put down an impressive 232bhp with an air filter chip and removed mufflers...

I am hoping for something... closer to 200at the wheels...

The EURO ECU doesnt work... its different.
