Did the timing belt today, and it was not as bad as I initially thought, especially with the tool.... got it all back together except a coolant hose and fluids.

I wish I could get it started today... I still have a week before I get paid, so it will have to sit until then.

Engine will run, but it won't be on the road for a little bit. It needs an expensive idler arm, tires and alignment.

Idler arm get it from UK.. they run something liek 70$ shipped

Tires go to tire rack or look on craigs list...

Alignment will be no more then 60 for all four wheels or 30 for the front...

As for tires Id sell ya a pair of mine but they are worn unevenly n dont wanna screw u with them.

Actually, I just a article online about buying 3M Window Weld (It's pure polyurethane that dries solid) that you can use to replace old rubber bushings on steering linkages, engine mounts, tranny mounts, etc. I think I am going to give it a try mainly because it will tighten up the steering a bit. Heck, all I have to do is make sure that the sleeve is centered perfectly.

Id say try to figure out the diameter of the bushing and see if you can find one online...

They are only few dollars but the metal arm makes it too expensive...

Exactly... everything pricewise on these cars is a sham... my BMW I had was the same thing..... $600 for Spark plug wires, cap and rotor!

I might look at bushings... I might get lucky.

I wish I can find my old idler arm so I can bust out the old bushing so I can get the exact dimentions for a new one... its got to be a press fit.. and they make a variety of them too at different sizes... should be easy to find the one that fits...

Yeah that would be great... my idler arm doesn't even have a bushing left.
