How to: Brake Control Module.
This is a very simple install and takes around 15min to complete.
The result is increased safety and better looks.
The module takes the signal from the brakes and causes the 3rd brake light to flash a number of times before it becomes solid.
The unit allows for the following adjustments.
1. Number of flashes.
2. Speed of flashes.
I have set mine to flash 2 times rapidly, and then becoming lit constantly.
The unit has 3 wires.
White wire is GROUND.
Black wire goes to Tail light.
Red Wire goes to Signal wire.
Basically your 3rd brake light has 2 wires:
Black, Black/yellow.
Black is Ground.
Blk/Yellow is Power 12V +
YOu need to cut the Black/Yellow wire and on the side going to the tail light connect to the black wire from the module.
The other side you connect to the red wire.
The white is gournd and needs to be tapped in the black wire on the car.
Once all connections are done, have someone press the brakes.
Then adjust the 2 adjusters to your preferences.
Here are a couple pics of the installtion.
Notice the Black/Yellow wire can be reconnected and the unit can be removed at any time.
All connected.
Finished Installation

Camera sux BTW it shows 2 flashes and then 3 flashes, but its really 3 flashes all the time...
