Well I'm not too concerned with the beam, its the brightness I'm after, so you're saying I would be able to take the old bulbs out and basically put these in there place?

Well you can still put these in your OEM housings and clean up the front lens a bit with some wax and rubbing compoind to make sure there is no cloudiness or scratches.

The beam you have now will remain the same except it will become much brighter...

As for projectors you can get the halogen projector lights, swap those in and then put this kit in those as well... it works quite nice too.

I have seen a few cateras with HIDs in the OEM lights and the result was actually quite nice, again due to the fact that the H1 adapts well to HID bulbs...

Now that I look at the setup though, I don't have projector lights, so I would need to purchase new housings and all that stuff for a prefacelift

Yes all the halogen lights had the H1 as a low beam and the H7 as a high beam.

From personal experience the H1 is a very good candidate for HID upgrade due to proper alignment of the HID capsule and the Halogen filament.
The projector Halogen lights that I tried it on were good but I was looking for more width and these were just not enough.

Another good one is the H7 but you wont need that.

The kit I have will be a pure white with a tiny bit of blue in it... it will certainly stand out from the rest of the lights out there due to its brightness but wont look ricer blue.

The 5K kit puts out around 3000lm of light which is about 3 times as much as your OEM ones... and thats comparing a new Halogen bulb... not a used one.

Also the 5K kit looks whiter then most of the OEM kits out there as they tend to be more on the yellowish side.
