3.0 Liter L81 V6 in a Lotus Exige
Under all that tubing, hose, and aluminum/composite monocoque sits our engine hooked to a Hewland transaxle. Think we can slip that team under a Catera? (kidding)

I am surprised that they used the L81 engine considering the fact that its got an iron block and weighs a lot more then an similar all aluminum version... something in that picture just doesnt seem right...

Re: 3.0 Liter L81 V6 in a Lotus Exige
honestly the fact they used the L81 jsut makes since to me with the right amount of funds you can easily make a reliable monster with these engines its just here in america we are placed geographicly on the losing side with this perticular engine set up i mean the shear fact that we are getting the preformace that we are getting out of a german made six banger with a less than glowing history is amazing ot me....lets all face it if those of us in the US had the funds or the connections accross the pond to get what we needed we would easily have 400+ hp monster cateras out there. one day i hope to have my cat running like this beast
