Midwest Catera Meet up

allright bringin this over from the Cadillac forums.

a meet up in the midwest would be an awsome thing. a lot of us need different things done that im sure that other people can help with. so what im perposing is that we find a place located around the milwaukee/chicago area to do this.

baised off of other events ive seen done we could spend a couple hours workin on our cats, then we could go for a group cruise, get some food, go down and cruise down the oldest crusing strip in the country (hwy 100). day 2 spend a few more hours working on the cats then possibly head down to great lakese drag to get some times possbly have some friendly runs against each other.


this is all just me talkin though my teeth here so if you have any suggestions let me know. i think it would be good to get some cats together. sadly it would probably be one of the largest gatherings of cateras since the dealerships.

Sounds really good to me, but a bit too far to come to this one.

I am all for this, I can drive to Chicago from Michigan just for this, in fact for the crusie I think it will be nice to do one in downtown Chicago as well... it would be cool to show off our cats to those sky scrapers...

Chicago seems to be a central place, but the only problem is finding someone with a garage that is willing to let us use it... and a big driveway and neighbors that wont mind the madness...

I will see if I can help with the organization of this, look up areas for hotels, camping and even food and maybe even a rout for the cruise... I know Chicago quite well so...

I think we can get at least 7-10ppl to do this...

ALso if more people are east of Chi we can do Detroit or somewhere in the neighborhood... MidWest in General...

im down with anywhere i can get to with in a couple of days. ill be done with school for the semester in a couple of weeks so i was thinking about a way to get this to work. what if we found like a camping area that has elctric hook ups and just do this out side.. plently of space and hook ups only problem would be getting a time when there is no chance of rain

Anyone up for a little get together in a state park or something like that?

Man, its too bad we all aren't closer together... I'd get my passport for a meet, but IL and MI are at least a 4-5 day drive. Scratch that, 3 days if I press hard.

I am still up for taking a tirp to MI, OH or IL for a small get together...

I need to figure out who lives where, and maybe we can get a few members to meet up at a park for some BBQ and fun!
